Lavender {Protect your Peace}

'Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence." - Henry David Thoreau

There are moments when the world feels louder than our breath. When the headlines weigh heavier than our thoughts, and even our inner dialogue begins to echo with a sense of urgency that doesn’t feel like our own.

In those moments, may we remember this:
Peace is not something we find—it is something we return to.

And to return, we must first protect it.

Start with the smallest act of gentleness. Light a candle, roll out your mat, or simply bring your hands to your heart. Let the sweet, herbal scent of lavender rise to meet you. Lavender speaks in a whisper: It’s safe to slow down now.

Now, find your way to Dangling Pose.

Stand with your feet beneath your hips, bend your knees just enough to soften any resistance, and allow your upper body to fall forward like a waterfall. Head heavy. Arms loose. Jaw unclenched. Maybe you catch opposite elbows, maybe you don’t. This is not about form—it’s about surrender. The spine unwinds. The hamstrings hum. Gravity does the work.

Stay here.

Let the world slide off your shoulders. Let your breath deepen. Let the lavender remind you: peace is something you carry inside—waiting to be remembered.

You don’t have to chase it.
You don’t have to earn it.
You only have to protect it.

  2. Who or what in your life currently supports your peace?

  3. What practices or environments help me return to yourself and help you feel grounded?
