Yogi of the Month- February 2023

“While enjoying a family get together just before the holidays my cousin mentioned that Nourishing Storm had a pass for 30 day unlimited yoga classes.  My impression of yoga was that it seemed passive and boring, however I figured I could try anything for 30 days.  I bought my pass, signed up for Monday night Bliss class, and started my journey.

It took less than thirty minutes in the class for me to realize my perception of yoga was not correct at all.  Rather than passive and boring I found it challenging yet enjoyable, a true exercise in strength, balance, and flexibility.  I tried different classes during the 30 days, and I fell in love with yoga.

The studio setting at Nourishing Storm is personal, and the instructors are knowledgeable in the practice, many times informing the class about the pose we were holding and what it did to clear toxins and balance specific parts of the body.  The people who attend the classes have been extremely friendly, I was made to feel like I fit right in.  I never felt awkward if I didn’t know a pose, or couldn’t do a specific pose, it was okay to just do what worked for me knowing I can build up my abilities.

My experience at Nourishing Storm has been nothing but positive and I have made a commitment to myself to continue practicing yoga for the rest of my life.”
