Yogi of the Month- May 2026

ā€œHi, my name is Monica, and I am truly honored to be named Yogi of the Month for May here at Nourishing Storm. It has been a joy being back here. I am not new to NS but very happy to be back in the company of such amazing and welcoming instructors as well as members. have known Mindy and Kristin for many years. They are both exceptional people that I'm blessed to call my friends. I've participated in both of their classes and courses throughout the years. I have also joined in many memorable events. In February of 2025, I was NS Artist of the Month and was invited to share my handmade huggable heart pillows. What an honor! was pleased by the response and enjoyed the heartfelt stories I received and loved how much the pillows

meant to those who acquired one.

I'm a nurse by trade; however, my career path went in a different direction, a very stressful one. I also spent years caring for family members, which was not an easy task and sadly forgot all about the care I needed for myself. As a caregiver, you forget who you are and focus on everyone else. Life continues to have its challenges, and I've experienced a lot of loss but this time I'm older, wiser, more prepared, and willing to take charge. That exceptional care will be

focused on me moving forward. I'm gonna live my best life and plan to enjoy every minute of it. I returned toNS to quiet my mind and to find some inner peace. So far, so good. I rest easy at night with a clear head. I don't think people realize how important that is to your overall mental

health and well-being. I certainly didn't. It takes its toll. Nourishing Storm has a welcoming warmth that brings such a peaceful spirit to all those who enter their doors. Again, I appreciate this recognition. I'm so happy to be back, and I'm determined to keep up my yoga practice for many years to come. Namasteā€
