Yogi of the Month- November 2025
David had been looking for an activity to help stretch his muscles and ease the aches and pains he sometimes feels in his body. When he heard about the new accessible yoga class at Nourishing Storm, he agreed to give it a try, even though he felt a little nervous walking into the studio for the first time.
After just one class, David was hooked — he immediately said he wanted to come back the following week. His enthusiasm for yoga has continued to grow as he’s discovered how it helps him both physically and emotionally. David enjoys working on flexibility and arm strength, and he especially loves practicing Eagle Arms and Cactus Arms.
Beyond movement, David has found comfort in the breathing techniques taught in class, which help him feel calm, centered, and less anxious about the things that might otherwise weigh on his mind. One of his favorite parts of yoga has been connecting with others — he says everyone in class is friendly and welcoming, and he especially adores his instructor, Nancy, who is always kind, patient, and encouraging.
David plans to continue attending yoga weekly and feels grateful that he took a chance on trying something new. For him, yoga has become more than just exercise — it’s a source of strength, peace, and community.
