What We Carry Forward: A Year in Review & Introducing 2026 Themes
Shine Your Light — Gently, Honestly, Fully
As another year draws to a close, we pause—just for a moment—to breathe, reflect, and honor all that has been lived, felt, and practiced within our Nourishing Storm community.
A Year in Review: 2025 — Scents & Simplicity
2025 invited us to slow down and return to the senses. Through Scents & Simplicity, each month offered a gentle anchor—an essential oil paired with an intention—to help us arrive more fully in our days. Sandalwood reminded us to stay open to possibility, jasmine encouraged us to leap into love, and eucalyptus helped us make space. Bergamot lifted us toward kindness, rose invited us to look for beauty, and lavender protected our peace. Mint called us back to the breath, lemon reminded us to escape the ordinary, vetiver grounded us in our roots, cinnamon drew us inward, rosemary helped us remember what matters, and frankincense whispered trust. Together, these practices wove moments of presence and reflection into our lives, reminding us that simplicity itself can be deeply nourishing.
Introducing 2026: Shine Your Light — Gently, Honestly, Fully
As we carry the lessons of simplicity forward, 2026 opens with a deeper invitation. This coming year will be guided by the wisdom of the Yamas and Niyamas, yoga’s ethical foundation, and supported each month with intentional breathing practices and crystal energy. Together, these elements invite us to live our practice not only on the mat, but in the way we move through the world.
The themes for 2026 will unfold as follows:
January — Lead with Compassion
February — Live in Truth
March — Honor What You Have
April — Protect Your Energy
May — Let Go, Let Grow
June — Shine From Within
July — Find Joy in the Little Things
August — Light Your Inner Fire
September — See Yourself Clearly
October — Trust the Mystery
November — Give What You Hope to Receive
December — Soften Into Stillness
This is a year devoted to integrity, presence, and care. Shining your light does not mean striving or pushing—it means tending what is already within you and allowing it to be expressed with honesty and ease.
We are so grateful to walk this path with you. May this year support you in living gently, speaking truthfully, and showing up fully—exactly as you are.
With warmth,
Kristin + the NS Team
