What made you want to teach pilates?
After being injured twice, I always turned to pilates to rehab my body and strengthen my core. After my second injury, I couldn’t do any simple activity like riding a bike or walking. But pilates was the only thing that I could do and it that allowed me to get stronger while going through rehab.
What is your favorite pilates move? I love Teaser, Spine Stretch and Jackknife.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out Pilates? Breathing correctly through your moves!!!! When you can take a big inhale through your nose, you’ll have lots of energy (air) to breathe through your mouth. When this happens your belly goes deep into your spine to support your back and help you move more efficiently.After a pilates workout, you should feel stretched out, stronger but also very relaxed.
